The Palms has been undergoing a lot of chance lately and is refusing to take a back seat to new nightclub rivals and hotels. With the new addition open as of last year, the 'Palms Fantasy Tower' is giving birth to a new generation of bunnies and Nightclubs for years to come.
Stacked atop the Fantasy tower and elevated above Ghostbar to the left the Playboy Club and Moon Nightclub sit high above the Vegas skyline entertaining clubbers with a gambling hand in the Lounge and those with the taste for dancing at MOON Nightclub above. Playboy club plays host to many red carpet events including Jenna Jamison's birthday and Paris Hiltons getting it together party. Many celebrities frequent the new venues as they are partially owned by the famed Maloof Bros. & Playboy Mogul Hugh Hefner.
The clubs are recommended for those who are staying at the hotel and if your linking for a drink and to lounge for a bit before hitting some of the high powered Nightclubs then it makes for a great starting point. The Legend Reborn the Playboy Club in the Palms Hotel opened its doors to the Las Vegas in Late November and has seen better days. Living true to its name the Playboy Club does deliver the hottest bunny dealers although at the same time it lacks the size and ambiance to make it an entire evening. The Playboy Club sits atop the Palms Playboy tower and offers tremendous views of the trip offering you more reasons other then drinking or gambling to come have a visit.
The Journey into the Playboy lounge requires you to walk directly through the Palms casino towards to the backside. There you will find the patented red velvet ropes blocking you from the destiny that awaits you 55 floors atop the hotel. The Elevator ride is enclosed with no views to be had unfortunately, we think it would have been a nice addition. The elevator exits you directly into the Playboy Club Lounge the main bar rests directly across from you with a VIP Seated area to the left and the main gaming/lounge on the right. The club is no larger than 2500sq. ft so quarters are tight and it can get smoky at times.
The decor inside mirrors that of its parent the 'Playboy Mansion' and looks dated just the dame. The walls are draped with pics of past bunnies with enlarged symbols of the nympho rabit on the wall all of which can be seen directly from the main bar so no need to walk around the club because thats all you will find. As your eyes settle towards the center this is where you will find some excitement no there is no dance floor inside the lounge but here are casinio tables and even better the dealers are gorgeous ladies dresssed up in playboy gear.
The excitement will last a few hours or until you loose your first couple hundred and then contemplate why you came in the first place.
Sitting atop the Playboy Club is MOON Nightclub. One of the highest elevated venues in Las Vegas, MOON offers a main dance floor upper mezzanine seating and an out door terrace for club goers to view the Vegas sites.
Moon Nightclub lives true to its name with a multi-level dance stange and a semi-retractable roof for prevewing the nights sights from above. As you enter into Moon your dropped directly into the dance floor which is surrounded by half moon boothes that can comfortably sit groups of 10 or more.
The music played is a mixture of Hip/Hop with the occasional house thereby offering something for everyone. Moon Nightclub offers 2 dance floor tiers for your partying pleasure. Located overhead a terrace overlooking the sites of Las Vegas and the fun being had on the dance floor. Access to this seating area is gained via a Spiral Stair case and no crowd surfing is allowed! VIP Tables are available atop the mezzanine, main dance floor and outer terrace.
The Terrace offers an elegant setting to escape the music of the club. Here you can regain your strength, chat with a newly found partner before heading back inside to continue on wiht the night.
MOON plays a mixture of music including rock, 80's but is predominately hip/hop and the crowd ranges in age 21-45. Contact us anytime to setup your evening either as a VIP or for Guestlist privledges and admission.
Overall the Playboy club makes for a great place to grab a quick drink but hardly posses the firepower to keep you under rest for the entire night. It is a lounge and that is it nothing ultra about it just a plain lounge with beautiful ladies. If you are in town and staying at the Palms then its a must see or if you have spend endless hours as a child reading the fantastic jokes then this may be the place for you. The Crowd is mostly visitors to town wanting to see what all the hype is about. The music is suttle nothing to get you out of your seat.
