JET nightclub opened its doors for the first time Last year New years Eve 2006 and has taken off like a rocket. The club is the newest addition from the Light Group and features 3 distinct rooms for your dancing and listening pleasure consisting of House, Hip/Hop and Top 40 Dance music sure to please any diverse group of VIP’s or Bachelor/Bachelorette Groups.
THE SCENE
The scene at JET is mostly a younger crowd of ranging in age from 21-31. There is no outside terrace so the music pounds hard like a true nightclub. The Main entrance to JET is located on the North End of the Mirage Hotel and Casino just past the reservation desk. <br /><br />At JET 3 different lines for one is for General Admission, VIP Admission and Tables and Bottle Service. You should do alright if you arrive early but anytime after midnight your group will be looking at waits upwards to about an hour.
Definitely the staple for the club is the Mainroom at JET Nightclub. Similar in design to Light in many ways with its dancer floor seating and center stages on in the middle the light show at JET is spectacular and the music really drops at all times of the night. When entering the main room. There is a moat area overlooking the dance floor which is elevated towards the south end of the room. This area is the best placement for the money and we recommend seating groups here when available. The remainder of the tables are situated directly on the dance floor itself, yea so your basically dancing in the crowd which is kinda fun. Most of the tables in this area are considered premier and require a 3 bottle minimum purchase just to get in but are well worth it.
In the mainroom room at JET Nightclub stages are setup with line the dance floor and are also located directly in the middle of the floor itself which provides great viewing pleasure for the gents as ladies only are allowed to dance atop. Two main bars are located to the left and right side of the dance floor and getting a drink never really is too much of a hassle. priced.
Newly renovated is the hip/hop room at JET Nightlight. Its location is furthest from the 2 other rooms and is rather secluded but for good reason. This room is strictly dedicated to playing hip/hop with its own DJ, Lighting System and bar. The room only offers Booth seating so large groups are welcome and you can spend an entire night in this the Hip/Hop room without seeing the rest of the club the music is that good.
Some of the best House music is played in this room although it never really got the recognition it deserved. The Room is intimate as you couldn’t fit more then 80ppl comfortably at one time especially when they are swing their arms to the sound of DJ Paul Van Dyke or Tiesto depending upon the mood. <br /><br /> The Houseroom has it own bar and DJ who is very interactive with the crowd and requests are sometime welcomed. There is no priority seating in the House Room as any table should do the layout is in the shape of a V so all any table is in the action. If your looking to make into the club and enjoy house then this room is recommended for you.
Overall JET Nightclub at the Mirage get a rating of 4 if your in the mainroom and 3 if your situated in the side rooms. Its hard to give it an overall opinion as the club really does drop hard on the main dance floor which is what your looking for in any venue. The Ambiance is dark so if your looking to preview some of the elegant settings your not going to find them. This club is great for those looking to hit a Top Las Vegas Nightclub but are on a budget.
